Kathryn Bigelow becomes the first woman to win the Best Director award at this year Oscars Awards held in L.A few hours ago for The Hurt Locker coming out in South African cinemas March 19. Precious, Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire also took a couple of wards including Best Supporting Actress (Mo’Nique), and Adapted Screen Play. The biggest movie in the world Avatar, also enjoyed a good night taking awards for Visual Effect, Cinematography, and Art Direction. Best Male Actor went to Jeff Bridges for Crazy Heart, Best Female went to Sandra Bullock for Blind Side and Best Supporting Male to Christoph Waltz for Inglourious Basterds.
