Cake Makes History, Nicki Minaj, Eminem & Kanye West Makes Profit


This week Cake's "Showroom of Compassion, becomes the first album to debut on top of Billboard's Hot 200 Albums, with the lowest figure of 44 000. Last week's no. 1 Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" slides to the 3rd spot with 35 400 copies sold. Pop star Bruno Mars' Doo-Wops & Hooligans, sits at No. 4 with 32,400, according to Nielsen SoundScan, Bruno Mars' new album has shelled out 528,300 copies to date.

Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday dropped three slots to No. 5 with 31,900, after two months on the charts, in total her album has sold 922,400 units. R&B singer Rihanna's Loud sits pretty at No. 8 with 28,100. After nine weeks on the chart, her latest album has sold 813,400 records.

Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy moved down three slots to No. 10 with 25,200. After two months on the chart, Yeezy's album is approaching platinum stat with 940,600 album sold. On The other end Eminem's Recovery took a hit, dropping nine slots to No. 14 with 21,400. With 30 weeks deep, the Grammy-winning rapper's new LP stands at 3,469,700 sold records.

R. Kelly's latest offering Love Letter sits at No. 17 with 18,400 copies. After five weeks on the charts, the new LP stands at 329,500 discs sold. Jamie Foxx's Best Night Of My Life, dropped out of the Top 20, to No. 21 selling 16,800, in a full calender month, the album has sold 218,900 records. And Platinum selling group Black Eyed Peas' "The Beginning" moved seven slots to No. 22 with 16,400. After seven weeks, the group's LP has moved 426,100 units.

Incarcerated rapper, T.I.'s No Mercy LP dropped five positions to No. 24 with 14,800, heading into his seventh week, the LP has sold 367,400 records to date. Lastly the late icon Michael Jackson's Michael dropped 11 positions to No. 32 with 11,300 copies, in it's sixth week, the pop star's posthumous release now stands at 434,300 sold discs.
