Johnny Gill Gig Cancelled

Johnny Gill, the smooth-talking American R&B singer, is not coming to South Africa as announced earlier this month – it appears that his concerts in December have been cancelled.

Internet reports indicate that the performance has been cancelled because Cape Town-based promoter China Mpololo of C-Sun’s Promotions and US promoter Jeff Allen of Universal Attractions are in a heated argument over the delay in payments to Gill’s agents. The payments are meant to be paid to Universal Attractions, a US company.
The cancellation is the second time that Gill has cancelled a show in South Africa – he planned to perform in August last year but never showed up.
